The Wiesbaden, Germany thrash metal act Scarscab classify their music as Neo-Trash Metal and if you ignore some trips to the Core camp, that’s pretty much the case. For the listener, this means that on Under The System Of Mass Destruction you can expects a musical melange that can be described as something of a meeting between Machine Head and Heaven Shall Burn. Right at the beginning of the disc, the Hessians make it clear that they do not spend long with inconsequential pre-skirmish but prefer to accelerate right from the first minute. The first songs thrive wonderfully forward and are characterized mainly by a pounding rhythm. Of course, the guitars are in no way inferior as they give us some brutal but also delicately performed riffs. The good thing with this album is that you discover more the second time you listen to it.
