Opression is a compilation album from black metal legends Shining. But its not your average best of/worst of compilation but a collection of rare recordings and outtakes, mainly from the early days of the band’s career. Shining is Niklas Kvarforth’s love child and has been since he formed this act in Halmstad, Sweden back in the mid 90s. Kvarforth is known for his suicide-themed lyrics and the music contains depressive undertones and are often very personal. So this is not for the weak of heart.
