Sisters Of Suffocation, an all female death metal band coming from the Netherlands, who released their first EP, Brutal Queen, in September of 2016. These is a bunch of pretty girls but don’t judge them by their sweet looks because when hear the music you’ll hear that its not sweet at all. The line-up comprises vocalist Els Prins, guitarist Simone Van Straten, drummer Amber De Buizer and bassist Puck Wildschut. Brutal Queen was recorded in Antwerpen, Belgium, and the production and mixing are exceptional for this genre of music. The band is quite impressing not only because of the quality of their musicianship but also the incredible vocals of Prins. She can produce awesome deep-low and high-pitched growls. The fact that they are all female, can’t be heard in their music at all. These girls know how good death metal should sound. The guitar riffs are filled with melodies and straight in your face technical brutality. The drums are filled with blast beats and up tempo double bass and the bass guitar is also technical and brings a nice rhythmic to it all. So my guess is that Sisters Of Suffocation will be a band that we will hear a lot from. Why? Because they bring you death metal that sounds really good with lot of variety. Brutal Queen will hopefully destroy the barriers of the male-dominated death metal genre.
