Skin N Bones was a hard rock/sleaze/glam metal band from Baltimore, Maryland. The band was formed in 1989 and managed to release their debut album within just a year. The timing was right and glam was the hottest thing. The label put ex-Duran Duran guitarist Andy Taylor to produce their debut, Not A Pretty Sight. The end result features some exciting rock n roll in the vein of Motley Crue, Poison and L.A. Guns. However dont look for originality as the band took all the cues they could from every eighties Hollywood sleaze group to hit the sordid scene. The band also went heavy on image with their black stretch jeans painted on, stuffed into wild west boots and long dark manes. Just like most other bandana wearin wasted rock ranger that walked on the Sunset Strip. The lyrics is just like the what the genre wanted, sex, drugs and rock n roll with titles such as Nymphomania, Resurrection Love, All The Girls In The World, Kiss This, Out With The Boys, Cover Me With Roses and so on. Yes you have heard it all before but as youre reading this it probably means you want more from that glammy sleaze period before grunge killed it all.
