Skitzofrenik from Newcastle was a NWOBHM band that released one single on Terry Gavaghan’s very collectable Guardian Records n Tapes label and also got two tracks onto the classic Roxcalibur compilation album in 1982. This ultimate anthology features those studio tracks as well previously unreleased bonus material. The band was formed in 1979 and recorded four demos before they split up in 1983. Their first demo was recorded at Impulse Studios in Redcar and the second demo was recorded in London. The third and fourth demo were recorded at Guardian Studios in Durham. But it wasnt these recordings that were used for the compilation or for their single because the band returned to Guardian Studios twice more. When the band was aksed to contribute to the Roxcalibur album they went back and re-recording the live favourite Exodus (from the third demo) as well as a new song called, Keep Right On. For the fourth and last time they returned to Durham when they recorded the single Usa with Lonely Roads on the B-side. Here you have it all so its definitely the ultitmate anthology of this band.
