Simon Collins, lead singer, drummer and son of lead singer, drummer Phil Collins teams with sensational keyboardist Dave Kerzner, Kelly Nordstrom on guitars/bass and Matt Dorsey on guitar/bass as Sound Of Contact. The band creates a wall to wall of solid prog that sounds more like Yes than Genesis. There’s a second here or there where Simon sounds like his dad but for the most part his vocals are his own. Now his drumming sounds a lot like Phil. He’s a very talented drummer. If youre a fan of prog rock groups such as IQ, Mostly Autumn and Unitopia, and if you love concept albums than this will push all the right button. Overall a superb album with memorable songs and top class musicianship will make for a great listening experience.
