Spiral Shades is a doom metal project formed in 2012 that is inspired by two individuals from different countries with a common goal of making an album together. Khushal Bhadra a Guitarist, Songwriter from India, Mumbai city and Filip Petersen (Guitarist, Bassist) from Norway, Vennesla got to know each other through internet because of their common interest in 70’s heavy doom/progressive rock music. Their debut album Hypnosis Sessions is an album that shows its influences well. Its old school 70s fuzzed out doom metal without discarding mordern technique and a voice thats so totally Ozzy worship. Cant see why any doom metal fans should want to live without this one. Yes its a magnificent one and could have been a great follow up to albums such as Master Of Reality and Volume 4. Its a fantastic journey back to the doom metal of the 70s.
