Stardog was formed back in 1991 in Skellefteå, Sweden. Their name was taken from a Mother Love Bone song called Stardog Champion. Their debut album, Champions, was recorded at Tonteknik Studio in Umeå in 1992 and it was released the following year by the Skellefteå based label A Westside Fabrication as well as by SPV in Germany. This is grunge metal done the Swedish way. If you like Alice In Chains, Stone Temple Pilots and Pearl Jam then you will find this interesting. Guitarist Niklas Wiklund can also be found in the Skellefteå based doom act Wytch.
