German act Steeler was formed in Bochum back in 1981 and the name was taken from the Judas Priest song with the same name. The band released two albums on Earthshaker Records before changing line-up and releasing two more albums before splitting up. After the split of Steeler, guitarist Axel Rudi Pell founded his solo project. Vocalist Peter Burtz became the editor-in-chief of Metal Hammer Germany from 1989 to 1991 before taking on the role of head of A&R at EMI-Electrola in 1992 before he started to produce radio shows, doing comedy and becoming a manager. Their third album Strike Back features great tracks such as the speedy Danger Comeback for example but at other times its an album that has some flaws and some songs lacks the intensity. The album has its moments but Strike Back couldnt compete with its predecessors.
