Description

Limited picture disc in numbered sleeve with poster Steve Sylvester was the side project of Death SS frontman Steve Sylvester. He released his first solo album ‘Free Man’ in 1993. A second album called ‘Mad Messiah’ was recorded during the free times of 1994 and it was intended to be released in 1995. However due to circumstanced the album was delayed and it didn’t see a release date until 1998. Steve used the services of his ex-Death SS members Albert Simonini and the famous Death SS guitarist Paul Chain for his solo project. The three members contributed to compose the songs on both albums. The other musicians should be considered guest, since none of them plays a constant role on the recordings. However, some musicians involved on the recording of the albums played live during the Free Man Tour in 1993/1994. It is known that Sylvester, Chain, Galley, Erik Lumen and Albert Simonini toured together around those dates, creating some kind of Death SS reunion the same time they promoted the new album. Galley was sometime substituted by Baka Bomb, who appears as bass player in the promo video for Broken Soul (included on 30 Years of Horror Music Box Set by Death SS) Track listing: 1. Broken Soul 2. Underground Life 3. Deadly Sin 4. The Wail of Ocean 5. People Who Live in Glasshouses (Shouldnt Throw Stones) 6. Free Man-Angel Witch cover 7. Agreement with the Devil 8. Run Away 9. Preacher Man
