Very rare original 1984 single

Stormwave was an Austrian hardrock act that started as early as 1978 under the name of Post Mortem. Then they changed name within just months to The New Wave before settling for the Stormwave moniker in 1980. In the early 80s the b and achieved local hero status in Tyrol and the surrounding area. On October the 2nd in 1983 the band appeared on the Austrian chart show Die Großen 10 with the song Iron And Steel which gave the band a bigger recognation. The band were signed to a small German label Acker And Acker Records who released the bands debut single Spend The Night With Me in 1984. The band continued and their debut album Heroes Of The Night, was released in 1987. The band would continue to record, release album and play live up to 1993 when the band fell apart as the musical industry had changed thanks to the emerging grunge wave in the early 90s. Matthias Herr called Stormwave: Austria’s best and most professional-sounding hard rock band, clearly destined for greater things in his Rock Lexicon book. What you do get from this band is a very cool blend of American Hard NHeavy with classy European Melodic Hard Rock. 30 years after their break up the band were reunited for several reunion shows and the band has decided to give it another go and promise to finally record the track Iron And Steel, who has been unreleased for all theese years.
