Description

Submission was a Danish death thrash act formed in Esbjerg back in 2003 and they released two albums during their 7 years of existence. Their second and final album was this one, Code Of Conspiracy, released back in 2009. This is rather modern sounding death thrash with some groove, think Meshuggah like their Nothing era. I also think the band is more inspired by acts such as Killswitch Engage, In Flames, Arch Enemy instead of Florida death or Bay Area thrash metal. The band’s vocalist Steven Qvist left the band when they had just started recording this album. He had a low death growling voice. Their new vocalist Lasse Sivertsen on the other hand is a thrash metal vocalist with a clean voice, so even if this album is in many ways an improvement its probably still down to the point of the vocalist. Those who adore Qvist gore death will probably dont like Sivertsens thrash yelling. Overall its a modern metal album with crushing intensity overlaid and interludes of melody and soaring guitar work. Submission is as good as their peers, but hardly that much different. But if you like bands mentioned above then you can definitely buy this one.
