Tarzen: was formed by brothers Danny and Michel Peyronel with Salvador Dominguez in Spain. Danny and Michel are originally from Argentina, but Danny moved to the UK and help for the band Heavy Metal Kids in the mid 1970’s. Danny then joined the band UFO as the bands very first keyboardist, where he recorded the album No Heavy Petting. Michel played in France in the punk band Extraballe where he played on the debut and EP. Michel would return to Argentina and would play drums in one of the premier Heavy Metal bands in South America Riff. In 1984 Danny would be introduced to Salvador Dominguez who had been playing in the Spanish band Banzai. The pair hit it off and Michel was in town and the guys jammed for an hour and that is all it took, and the band Tarzen was born. Danny brought the band’s first 4-track demo to England to pitch the album to Atco records (UK division of Atlantic Records) who loved what they heard and quickly signed the band and released their debut self-titled album (now being released under the name Taboo) which was in the same vein as the very popular Ac/Dc. The band was quickly put on a tour of the USA with Dokken and Twisted Sister. The band would record their sophomore album Madrid on 3 different continents (Europe, North America and South America). This 1989 album would be a bit more melodic with the same big backing vocals, but a lot more keyboard driven in the very popular Scandinavian AOR style similar to bands like Treat, Dalton and Zinatra. The band called it a day after a opening gig for Bon Jovi at the Velez Stadium in Argentina in 1990.
