Tears were a Swedish glam rock group, formed in 1968 in Katrineholm and consisted of Lars Fubbe Furberg, vocals, Eddie Edda Eriksson guitar and Matti Vuorinen, bass. Drummers, however, varied. Tears were unique in Sweden because they drew inspiration from British and American make-up/glam pop really early on – for example, from David Bowie, Marc Bolan and Sweet. Tears were brave and insisted to sing in English, even though this was considered politically incorrect in the Swedish progressive moment. It is said that it was Lars Furbergs girlfriend at the time, Ewa Kallberg (later Eklund) that were the model for the bands logo. Tears released their third and final album, Romantic, recorded in Polyvox studions, on Gazell records in 1976. After Tears broke up, guitarist Eriksson and vocalist Fogelberg created The Radio while Matti Vuorinen became a politician. Track listing: 1. This Is Love 2. Queen Of The Dancing Floor 3.
