Temple Of Dread is a death metal project from, Lower Saxony, Germany, formed in 2017 by musician Markus Bunnemeyer’s (Thrashhammer). He brought his friends Frank Albers (for lyrics), Jens Finger (ex-Obscenity for vocals) and Jörg Uken (Nightfall for drums). The results are as violent as they are classic and the odd edges that shape Blood Craving Mantras appear to persist by the will of taste and their respective personalities alone. Frank Albers – psychologist and extreme metal aficionado – writes about the generally threatening, suffering and human abysses. However, he writes his lyrics in a way a little untypical for Death Metal and seasons them with portions of dark black humour. Temple Of Dread immediately conveys that 92-’4 era of death metal, early Cancer and Pestilence with a sound that lurkes within the realm of Morgoth and Asphyx and if you ad some solid thrashing riffs to the mix then you might be close to what Temple Of Dread is all about.
