Tennis Shoes where a London Power-Pop band, with nine members. The large mixed-gender group only released this vinyl and the band were probably put together just to have some fun. Vocalist Beverley Glick was a popular writer for Sounds magazine and Noise Magazine and also wrote the liner notes for the UK version of Takahashi Yukihiro’s album. The A-side is a great pop rock song and B-side is a new wave/pop number leaning towards powerpop with a popping feel full of the atmosphere of the punk era. And the second B-side tune is a jazzy number that might a clue to the true identity of this band.
