Luleas, The Everdawn started as a sideproject by Gates Of Ishtar members Oskar Karlsson and Niklas Svensson. Oskar Karlsson is also know for being the drummer in Defleshed during the first 4-5 demo years and both him and Pierre Tornkvist were later to be found in Helltrain. The band only released a mini cd and one full length album. Both theese cds were later re-issued on one cd by Hammerheart records in 2003 and then reissued again in 2012 by Century Media. This is the first time the full length album is released on vinyl. It sounds exactly like mid-period At the Gates. Buzzing, sometimes chugging, death riffs over thrashy drums with competent melodic passages and the occasional twin-guitar duel. The vocals are high and raspy, nearly a carbon copy of Tomas Lindbergs. The solos are pure At The Gates. A must for lovers of At The Gates death thrash metal
