Her non woking politics
False hopes, job creations

Polish pressed music cassette. Clear cassette with printed paper label.

Poland is probably the country that had the most record labels in the world that only released cassettes. But even though there were lots of labels the market was still small as they only printed these for their own market inside of Poland. And a label in one town maybe lacked the distribution for another town and so on. A Warzaw or Krakow label might print more copies of a tape then labels from a smaller town. So even if there are thousands of releases you will notice how rare some are if you start to try to list the catalog number of one particular label. Some cassettes just rarely shows up. One of the bigger cassettes labels were Takt Music in Warsaw and another one was MG Records, which was a sub-label of GM Records (both used the same logo during the early 90s). Just like Takt they started in 1990 and existed up until 1994 and during those 4 years they released approx 3000 tapes. Under the name of GM Records they started a pressing plant in Poland after these cassette years was over.

Back in England in 1977 the Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her Silver Jubilee. The UK punk movement were really put on the map when at the same time Sex Pistols released their punk anthem God Save The Queen that stirred up a big controversial at the time. Just two years later England got a new Prime Minister in Margaret Hilda Thatcher later known as the Iron Lady. She would serve as prime minister up to 1990. In 1982 Thatcher took the decision to go to war over the Falkland Island and Wattie Buchan and his Scottish punk act reacted by naming their third album, Let’s Start A War… Said Maggie One Day. A title in a way as brilliant in protest as the no future lyrics of God Save The Queen. Lets Start A War was The Exploited’s most politically-charged album, The lyrics was not just about the Falkland Islands but also overall about anti-war, police-driven riots, war, unemployment and hopelessness. The band at the time had an entirely new line-up with only leader Wattie Buchan remaining. This however didnt change the style of the band. The boys shows as much anger as before and they are really eager to thrash. So nothing new in the grand scheme of punk rock in general but for any punk rock fan its a fun album with lots of youth-angst requirement tunes like the title track, Rival Leaders and many others. If you need to get some anger out of your system then this is a fun and well needed album
