Description
Rare original English 1977 press
A quartet formed in Bristol in March 1977 by Eamonn McAndrew (vocals), Kit Gould (guitar), Nigel Robinson (bass) and Ricky Galli (drums). These teenagers formed The Pigs after seeing Bristol’s first punk band The Cortinas. The band did a recording session on the 12th of August, 1977 at Sound Conception Studios in Bristol. The band did a 11-track session where four of the tracks ended up on their EP Youthanasia. Youthanasia appeared in November 1977 on New Bristol Records with the help of Miles Copeland, whom they met during their opening act for Generation. This is great early UK punk stuff for fans of The Corinas, Killjoys and Unwanted
