The True Werwolf is another project from the force behind Satanic Warmaster, Horna, Incriminated, Orlok, etc. The 2011 single, Battlemoon, with The True Werwolf features some cold, raw and primitive straightforward Finnish black metal. The single almost sounds like an old demo with hissing and tape damages. Charming indeed. Fans of old Darkthrone, Vlad Tepes and Lauri Graf Werwolf Penttiläs other projects should take notice. Black metal has come a long way since its birth but its great to hear that there are people around that hold on to the old way and keeps holding on to the ugly and primitive side of the genre.
