The debut cassette ep from Danish doom death act The Vein was released back in 2011. The Vein is actually a side project formed by two members of the epic doom metal act Altar Of Oblivion who wanted to explore the doom genre more and ad an extreme metal twist to their heavy music. Their approach is very epic in nature, much like their main band but this is much darker and heavier. This is very classic in nature falling back towards the late 80s / early 90s death and black metal. This original EP was only released on cassette in a limited runof just 150 copies. However this cassette caught the ears of American record label Shadow Kingdom who felt this was up among the best new doom/death metal acts out there and signed the band and re-released this EP with bonus tracks on cd in 2013.
