The Miskolc Experience is the fourth live album by Swedish symphonic metal band Therion. Unlike their other live albums this doesn’t only feature the band’s original material, but also Therion covering various pieces from classical artists like Verdi, Wagner, Mozart etc. It was recorded at the 2007 Miskolc Opera Festival. The first part – dubbed Classical adventures – features some of Christofer`s favourite composers (especially his all-time fave, Wagner) and does completely without guitars or any metal instrumentation whatsoever. Just orchestra and choir. Part two, Therion songs, delivers exactly that: finest Therion material performed by the band, a huge orchestra and choir.
