This Ending was created in 2005, but the true history dates even earlier. The band existed in a previous incarnation as A Canorous Quintet, which was formed in 1991 and they gained a strong cult following since the mid nineties – especially in Sweden and Germany. A Canorous Quintet became inactive in 1998 when the members decided to go separate ways. Members went on to Guidance Of Sin, Bulls Eye Dirt, October Tide, Amon Amarth and Sins Of Omission. In early 2005 the members of A Canorous Quintet decided it was time for a new era. During the spring and summer, 13 songs were created and the band landed a record deal. The band went for the moniker of This Ending for their rebirth. It was a creative period and the recorded and released their debut album Inside The Machine was released in the autumn of 2006 and they continue to work on their follow up album, Dead Harvest, before their debut had been released. Numerous songs were written but only 10 songs were chosen to be represented on the actual album. Two additional songs were recorded during the Dead Harvest sessions which were released as bonus on the digipak version. Dead Harvest was released in 2009 and it features ten songs of top notch technical, brutal yet melodic death metal. The album evokes dark moods and concept while further distinguishing the band from its peers. Spanning from heavy riffs and mesmerizing melodies to blast beats and industrial sounds – Dead Harvest has it all.
