Impressive Czechoslovakian hard rock act that not only were among the first in their country there also still active and have a long list of albums and singles under their belt. The band started out in Bratislava in Slovakia in 1982 and struggled to find the right line-up and writing material. The band signed a deal with Opus records and entered the Opus studios in February and March of 1984 to record their self titled album. “Tublatanka” was released in 1982. They have since then gone to become a cult act in their home country and some might have heard them without even knowing it since their track “Pravda Vitazi” appears in the horror movie “Hostel”. Their early albums were finally released on cd in 2004.
