Description
One of the finest metal acts of its time was the Long Island lunatics Twisted Sister. When you put together a tribute album to this act then you probably know that you will fail as not much can beat the originals. And just like any tribute album it goes from fun and great version to complete disasters. Motorhead, Anthrax, Overkill, Hammerfall, Nashville Pussy and Sebastian Bach are just a few names and some of them play it rather safe while others really mix things up by completely destroying the original version. But like I said some tunes are fun to hear even though nothing sounsd like Dee when he belt these songs out. But talking about the Sisters they actually are on this album, twice. Out last we have Twisted Sister doing a cover version of the Ac/dc tune Sin City and before that we have one of the stand out tracks on the album. And that is when former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach do a cover version of You Can’t Stop Rock N Roll. His version is great and it gets even greater when you hear that the entire original line-up of Twisted Sister is backing him up. Almost worth the price of the album alone. What you will find out is that Twisted Sister wrote some fine metal anthems and that you can’t stop rock & roll.
