The album opens with Moondance recorded at the Fillmore West in San Francisco on the 26th of April 1970. Van Morrison had just released the Moondance album 3 months before this concert, and he performed almost the complete album this night. Out next comes this eighteen-minute instrumental outtake called Caldonia Sould Music. This outtake was recorded in November of 1970 during the recording session for this fourth album, His Band And The Street Choir album. The second side features four tracks recorded live at the Pacific High Studios in San Franciso on the 5th of September 1971, in front of a small audience. That studio was used by the Grateful Dead to record Workingmans Dead in 1970, and Morrison used it in 1971 to record St. Dominic’s Preview. The local radio station KSAN recorded this show radio, which is how this recorded got taped.
