Consisting of previously released metal songs, covers of metal classics, and originals by in-house musician Harry Slash, ECW Extreme Music is an interesting mix that stands above other wrestling music collections released by bigger organizations. Kilgore contributes a solid version of Panteras classic Walk while Grinspoon puts in a good rendition of Prongs biggest hit, Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck. Bruce Dickinson's soaring rendition of the Scorpions The Zoo is a great, heavy anthem that lives up to his best material in Iron Maiden. And Motorhead's Enter Sandman is the best song on the album, and it is both heavier and meaner than the original. Tres Diablos features Pantera members Dimebag Darrell, Vinny Paul and Rex who covers the ZZ Top classic Heard It On The X. Harry Slashs two originals are also highlights, This Is Extreme is a good, solid theme song while Huka Blues is a heavy, crawling beast that features gloomy saxophones and heavy guitars. The album as a whole is not great, but it's also surprisingly good for what it is. Metal and wrestling fans will both probably enjoy this collection, others may not be too interested.
