This is the band of Sergio Vidal Gomes, called Vid, from Rio de Janeiro. He has been in the rock business for a long time. He founded Sangue Azul in 1985, a band that was known for the spectacular stage show, with tons of pyros (something that can been seen on the cover artwork). Vid and his Sangue Azul played the second edition of the Rock In Rio festival at the Maracana Stadium in January of 1991. Headliners for that festival were acts like Guns N Roses, Prince, George Michael, INXS, New Kids On The Block and A-ha. After the festival Vid entered to finally lay down the first studio album, an album that were released by Cogumelo records in 1991. Vid has always been a crazy vinyl collectors of all kinds of music but when its time to record and write his own material then its hard rock with pounding drums, thundering bass, keyboards and hallucinating guitars that he chooses. Many of these tracks on the album has been fan favourites at the live shows so now after 6 years its finally time to get them recorded in studio versions. Here you will find tracks like “As Scheduled”, “Rapunzel”, “Living On The Edge” (with its soft keyboard opening) and “The Witch”.
