Voice Of A Generation was a Swedish street punk band, formed during the mid-1990s in Örebro. Street punk originated in Oi! and can be classified as political punk music that wants to return to the roots. The band name was taken from the song Voice Of A Generation by Blitz and the band were influenced by acts such as Sex Pistols, Sham 69, The Cockney Rejects along with other Oi! Groups. The band’s fourth and final studio album, The Final Oddition, was released in January 2004 and it was a strong album and a worthy end to the bands 10 year long stint. The music magazine Kerrang wrote: Voice Of A Generation have the same lethal strain of authentic punk rock running through their veins as the entirely credible likes of Rancid and U.S Bombs. If you like Oi! punk then check out this band. Producer on the album was Nasum member Mieszko Talarczyk who also performed guitar on Democracy Is Dead and Verbal Abuse.
