Voodus is a new killer project formed by people who were in Jormundgand before. Voodus’ debut release was the “NightQueen” EP from 2015 and it was followed by this “Serpent Seducer Saviour” EP. Voodus fits well into their native black metal scene and influences from bands like Necrophobic, Dissection and Watain can be heard. Nothing wrong with that. Listen and learn from the best and you will end up with something as good as Serpent Seducer Saviour. Both songs here are presented in a rather slow pace but dont worry as there are still plenty of aggressiveness. Path Of Hekate is more straight forward and kind of memorable, with sinister melodies and bestial, obscure sound. Flesh Into Spirit however are something completely different as its a twelve minute long epic beast, built upon some slower yet malicious riffs and harmonies. The atmosphere is quite sorrowful sometimes, almost melancholic. This track is worth the price of this disc alone. Check this out if you adore bands like Watain and Dissection as Voodus really deserves it
