Following an European Tour with Holy Moses, Warpath entered the studio again to reccord their second album, Massive. The band expanded their sound and now played thrash metal with New York hardcore and death metal elements. The release of the title song proved to be a success for the band, because Massive was on heavy rotation in numerous metal clubs and made the necks of a lot of metalheads hurt. The cover version of Carnivores Race War was another big step for Warpath. The song by Pete Steele, late front man of Type O Negative, was already received with mixed results, when it was originally released in the 80s, because a lot of people did not get the message or didnt listen to the lyrics properly. Massive was better received by the metal press than the debut
