W.A.S.P.’s second album “The Last Command” was released on the 9th of November 1985. The album reached No. 47 on the Billboard 200 album chart in early 1986 and sold over one million copies, their first album to do so. The tour for the album started on the 3rd of January 1986 in the Us and it would be a massive tour throughout Usa and Canada before ending in May of 1986 with 5 dates in Japan where three of them were at the Sun Plaza Hall in Tokyo. This album is recorded at the second of theese three nights in Tokyo, on the 7th of May). During this time the band became a very prominent target of the Parents Music Resource Center (PMRC), an organization led by Tipper Gore and dedicated to opposing music with lyrics deemed violent or overtly sexual in content. During this concert you will hear Blackie sending a message to Tipper Gore right before the track “Sex Drive”. The PMRC threat would get worse for the autumn tour of 1986 when the band had released “Inside The Electric Circus” where it lowered the band’s reputation to such a degree that concert halls were getting bomb threats, band members were receiving death threats by the hundreds, and singer Blackie Lawless was shot at twice (though not hit). The controversy however generated lots of valuable publicity for the band. This show from Japan features a great sound and a cool set list and the band ends with their best selling single “Blind In Texas”. As i said one of the last shows on the tour and it would also be one of the last shows with Randy Piper as he departed after the tour had ended
