We is a Norwegian stoner / space rock band formed in Oslo in 1992. The band have played with acts such as Turboneger, Queens Of The Stone Age support Motorhead on their German tour etc. The band has released several albums but it was with the Livin The Lore album that people really started to take notice. And the following album, Smugglers, can be seen as the real breakthrough as it reched the No. 1 slot on the Norwegian charts and also gave the band the Spellemannprisen award. WE are known as an energetic live band fronted by vocalist Thomas Felberg who poses in colorful attire and Indian-inspired headwear. With Smugglers the band abandonded their space rock style and headed more into the Stoner field. As I said the result was worth it as the band scooped up awards and rave reviews, and became one of Norway’s biggest and most talked about bands at the time. The album also have a 70’s vibe to it, flavored with bombastic effects. The title track is an amazing 10 minutes epos that is very atmospheric, which brings back memories to Pink Floyd during their Dark Side Of The Moon and The Wall period. The guitar riff and the repetitive chorus actually make the track really enjoyable.
