Before the time of mp3, cds or any other digital format then radio stations stored their shows on vinyls. These vinyls’s where then shipped between radio stations for air play. Westwood One is an American radio network. It is based in New York City and was founded in 1978 it is one of the largest producers and distributors of radio programming in the United States. It broadcasts entertainment, news, weather, sports, talk, and traffic programming to about 7,700 radio stations across the USA. However the station is most notable for its coverage of live events. The company broadcasts live concerts, and holds exclusive national radio rights for many of the biggest sporting events. Most Westwood one discs comes without sleeves but without insert sheet showing artists, commercials and time segments. During the 90s it was possible to find these discs but now 10-20 years later they seem to have disappeared and have now been very collectible due to the low amount of pressed vinyls made. This is a rare triple lp box set featuring the show # 89-05 broadcasted March 17 1989 featuring the classic Guns N Roses show recorded live at The Ritz in New York on the 2nd of February 1988.
