8 cd box set featuring the five studio and two live albums that Whitesnake released from 1978 to 1982 plus a cd edition of the Snakebite EP. The discs come packaged in mini LP sleeves and all are housed in a flip-top box with a 16 page booklet.

If you love early Whitesnake then this is a great way to purchase all of them in one fell swoop. Though Slide It In and 87 still deserve their place as Whitesnake’s two greatest albums, these gems from the late 70’s and early 80’s are not far behind. David Coverdale sounds excellent throughout and is joined by a stellar cast of musicians (namely, Ian Paice and John Lord of Deep Purple fame for most of these albums). Adding to the value is the fact that the late great Martin Birch produced these recordings and I honestly can’t recall a poor production on any Martin Birch album! (for those that aren’t familiar with Birch’s work….he’s noted for producing most of Iron Maiden’s classic albums, Michael Schenker’s tremendous Assault Attack album, Black Sabbath’s legendary Heaven And Hell and many, many other great rock albums). You simply can’t go wrong with this collection and its an excellent value for such classic bluesy hard rock.
