Description

Still sealed with slipcase

The gloriously misspelled Wikkyd Vikker become another of the lost New Wave of British Heavy Metal era bands to have various demos etc. from back then re-discovered and finally brought out on albums for the masses. Formed in 1981 the band relased a demo, and the rare single Black Of The Night, released without picture sleeve, as well as getting a track onto the Ebony compilation album Metallic Storm in 1982. Their single is an instant NWOBHM classic with excellent riff an great vocals. Now when we get to hear more from the band, with this release, then we find out that the band also shows that they were influenced by progg, Thin Lizzy and Rush. The booklet also brings out some fun anecdotes about life on the road and home made stageprops and pyrotechnics. Overall a great compilation album for fans of the English way of making metal. Mark Evens later joined Valhalla.
