Description
Still sealed 2021 Japan press with OBI-strip
Yngwie J Malmsteen, one of the best neoclasical guitarist ever, released World On Fire in 2016. This is his fifth album on his own Rising Force label and he does most of the job himself. Yes he not just playing guitar, he also produces, bass, keyboard and sing. Unfortunately most of his later albums shows just shades of his past glory. Malmsteen is no Jeff Scott Soto, Doogie White, Göran Edman or Joe Lynn Turner and World On Fire has a real basement production when it comes to sound. There are tracks like Nacht Music that feels very much like a true Malmsteen but if he wants to bring back more of the old fans then he really needs to change something in the future. Die hard fans of Malmsteen will buy this one as its not his worst but not that memorable either. Fans that are interested to know more about Yngwie should stick with his tried and trued records between 1980-1990.
