Doubleback was released as a single from ZZ Tops 1990 album Recycler. The song was featured in the movie Back To The Future Part III, released the same year, in two versions. The album version was played over the end credits of the film. But the band also made a fun cameo in the movie playing an instrumental country music version with a large fiddle band. The scene comes about halfway through the movie when Marty and Doc, trapped in 1885, attend a festival in the center of Hill Valley celebrating the dedication of the town’s new clock tower. The single reached number one on the US Billboard Album Rock Tracks chart for five weeks. It was nominated for an MTV Video Music Award in 1990 for Best Video From A Film. The B-side is taken from the album Afterburner
